WORDS & THOUGHTS

The Restoration of Peter

Realizing how deprived he is of the love of God, Peter wept because he understood that he have failed to demonstrate God’s love even to Jesus Himself and to do it on a daily basis. God humbled Peter for good, peter continued on his ministry with this new broken heart, that seek no earthly riches and glory, but an eternal salvation and treasure.

In our life, we need at least one of these moments, events that will be so significat to our life it will be a turning point a a change. We need to be humbled with a broken heart, that way we will never be proud again, for we know that the true source of satisfaction is in Christ and nothing of the world.

Philippians 3:8 (NKJV) Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

With this new heart, we seek no more temporary glory for we see JESUS and His GLORY. Nothing else in this world matters, not even our life, That is why Peter and the other Disciples continued to do their ministry until becoming a martyr

The bible didn’t tell us how the apostle Peter die but the most commonly accepted answer is that he requested to be crucified on an inverted cross because He has denied His Lord.

Matthew 26:33-35 (NKJV) Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.” Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples.

This is how intense the love of God can be, it can take someone’s life for even life is priced less than this love. This love cannot be bought but Jesus gave it to us for free, let us find it and use it to heal the world and make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human
