The Blood of Sprinkling

Darkness is not the absence of light, true darkness is the realization that light will never return. To be seperated from light, is what Jesus had overcome. When He died for us He take all our sins to Himself and carried that sin with death with His own life, and by that We are saved. But He ressurected.

Nevertheless, sin still ocupy most parts of the world, probably all. Why? because the wicked us invited them back. We still live our lives by the new way that sin offered us. We ignore the salvation that has been made waiting to be worked on. That is why we have the sprinkling of the blood. In ancient Israel, during the day of atonement, the priest would take a sacrificial animal, kill and take its blood, then burn the animal as an offering to the Lord. The priest would also sprinkle the blood around temple, by this He is “spreading purity” to the whole temple.

The animal that was killed was previously laid with the hand of the priest who cast all the sins of Israel to that lamb so that by its death all Israel’s sin will be removed. The animal must be clean and without blemish, so that by its “pure” blood, purity will spread from the temple, to the Levite tents around it and to the whole people of Israel.

“Spreading Purity” Sounds odd, because in real life we don’t really spread purity. What happens is that when something impure touches the pure, the impurity transfers to the pure, not the other way around. Like when you touch a mud, the bacteria and the other impurities that is previously in the mud is now also on your fingers because the impurity is distributed.

But purity can’t be distributed right? Like when you touch a clean person after touching that mud, what happens is that that person now also need to wash his body because he is dirty, not the “cleanness” of that person transfers to you.

That is what prophet Isaiah previously thought until He met the creature of heaven called a seraphim, that is the anglic creature that has 6 wings. The creature came to Him and this happens

Isaiah 6 : 6-7 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:

“Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin [b]purged.”

Instead of Isaiah’s sin being transfered to that creature, instead, when the creature touch Isaiah’s lips with that coal, He is purified. The purity of that coal transfers to Isaiah.

This is actually a prophesy of somebody that will inherit this characteristic. Not conforming to others by being sinful but kept His integrity till His death, and yes He is Jesus. Jesus came to earth and showed a radical “new way” of living. New way that is newer than the new way of sin. He lived His life forgiving instead of revenging, He comfort the homeless instead of confront the religious leaders. And people are amazed by this new way of living for isntead of spreading hate and anger among the people, He is spreading LOVE.

This is what the sprinkling of blood in the old day refer to the day of Jesus even until now. The sprinkles of blood, that small droplets are small communities spread around the world spreading love and atonement to their surroundings. We are one of that communities, we are a small group of people that still believes that there is hope for a bettter world and we live our life spreading love and telling the world around us that love still exist. Just like Jesus live His life making sure people around Him be strenghtened.

In this modern day, we learn not to tell our problems to other people, it is said that half of them do not care and the other half are happy we have those problems, this is true for the most part for in this broken world, no one cares about you. You have a family, you have a community, you have friends in school yet after all that, in the end of the day you are alone because this groups of people are just corrupted as well and there is no true love within them. That is why you need to be the pioneer of TRUE LOVE in your community, wether it is your family, school, work, anything anywhere. Be the proposer of TRUE LOVE, sprinkle the blood of atonement for love covers a multitude of sins. Witness the change that is going to happen.

Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins.
