WORDS & THOUGHTS

On The Mount of Olives

Eternal life, the one thing almost all Christians seek. And not only us, but all humanity, we realize we are bound to the tragedy of time so therefore we make inventions, tools, ways to make ourselves eternal. We concluded that the meaning of existance doesn’t have to be the presence of our physical body, but the actions and the contributions we offer to humanity.

We built statues of famous people in the past, thinkers, leaders, heroes. We put ourselves into things that can last longer than our physical self, we take pictures of us and the people we love, we record videos and uploaded to a worldwide server that will most likely stay online longer than we stay alive.

But during the time prior to calvary, in the mount of olives, Jesus summed up to His disciples what is the true meaning of the eternal life everybody has been seeking

It is not so much as living longer than the rest of the mortals, but instead, it is about living in fellowship with God the Father, the Son and te Holy Spirit. By living in teir fellowship we are building a connection which connects us with them and not only that, we are transformed by their presence in us and our life will be bound to that fellowship, as a result we are with them wherever we go and they are with us, they being HE.

1 Corinthians 1:9-10 (NKJV) God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

This is why during he time of Jesus, He never told His disciples to live good to go to heaven, but to live good because the Kingdom of Heaven is coming to you,to the world to be joined together in fellowship, that is what He wants, that is the whole story of the bible. To bring back the good relationship we once had with
